The successful candidate will be part of Microbiogen’s Strain Development Group, a small but rapidly growing world leading team generating superior yeast biocatalysts for food and fermentation applications, including biofuels, baking, animal feeds, and human nutrition. This hands-on laboratory role encompasses a range of biology disciplines, such as evolutionary genetics, cell biology, and microbial physiology. Working under the guidance of the Head of Research and relevant Team Leaders, you will perform experiments on sophisticated equipment in a collaborative team environment.
The successful applicant must be willing to undertake training as necessary to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills and be willing to take on responsibility as needed.
This role would suit a recent graduate or early career scientist.
Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Proficiency in microbial cell culturing techniques.
- This is a hands-on role requiring general laboratory skills and the confidence to develop new methods and processes.
Located in our brand-new R&D laboratories in Macquarie Park the daily start/finish time is flexible with management strongly believing in work/life balance.
