Working at CQUniversityCQUniversity’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences is currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor / Instructor to join the Technical Services team.
Your focus will be to deliver quality specialist technical support across the School’s Medical Laboratory Science discipline, providing instruction and supervision as required for staff and students in the use of laboratory facilities. You will undertake regular equipment and asset management, planning, preparation of chemicals and experiments, stock control, maintenance and repairs, ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Work Health and Safety requirements.
Playing an integral role in student journey, you will be passionate about helping students gain essential practical experience required to enrich their learning and overall educational success.
Position Requirements- A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Knowledge and specialist expertise in technology and instrumentation used in diagnostic pathology laboratories.
- Experience in delivering specialist technical support in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, codes and legislation, especially Work Health and Safety requirements.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills to communicate and consult effectively with clients, contractors, students and staff at all levels.
- You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
