Council’s Landscape Architecture team is a group of creative and proficient design professionals. We are looking to expand our team with a new landscape architect role available. About the role

This role is responsible for providing professional Landscape Architecture services for the organisation and community. As a Landscape Architect, you will be required to undertake, lead and contribute to a diverse range of projects. The role includes:

• Undertake a process of creating concept designs and master plans that align with the Council’s strategic direction and meet the communities expectations;
• Support your design work with proficient graphic, written and presentation skills;
• Consult and liaise effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
  Undertake Schedule of Quantities, cost estimates, technical specifications, procurement documentation and contract administration;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively, either independently or within a team, displaying appropriate judgement, flexibility, accuracy, problem solving and decision-making skills.

You are to be positive and proactive with a team player mindset who is passionate about design excellence, innovation and realising outcomes.

To be successful in the role you shall be willing to learn and professionally develop your landscape architecture attributes. You will be required to manage your time, workload and priorities. You will need exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with initiative and adaptability on a wide range of matters including problem solving, innovation and collaboration.

The successful candidate is to hold a Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture. As a Landscape Architect you are to have 5+ years of proven experience in the following:

• Design practice experience with evidence of successfully achieving project objectives;
• Demonstrate an ability to design manage your projects and tasks in a variety of applications;
• Be a pragmatic designer with an ability to identify creative design solutions and opportunities;
• Effective written and graphic communication skills including use of Adobe Suite, CAD and 3D digital modelling (i.e. Sketchup).

What’s on offer

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $112,104.18 to 123,426.02 inclusive of superannuation.
