The core of our national commercial practice is centred in Newcastle where we have more than 120 staff, making Moray & Agnew the best resourced commercial and insurance legal practice in the Hunter region.

About the role

An exciting career opportunity exists in our Newcastle office for a defendant insurance lawyer with 2 - 5 years' PQE to join our CTP practice. The role involves work on CTP claims which may involve complex liability, quantum and medical issues.

You will work directly for one special counsel within a collegiate and friendly team of professional staff, with a number of paralegal and secretarial staff to support you.

The role is suitable to candidates seeking a flexible working arrangement, on either a part-time or full-time basis. You’re encouraged to speak to us about how we can make the role work for you.

About you

Ideally, you will have experience in personal injury claims with 2 - 5 years' PQE. Defendant or CTP experience will be highly regarded, but what matters most is the quality of your experience and your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

In addition to solid experience, we are looking for candidates with:

outstanding communication and delegation skills
a proven track record in delivering excellent client service
the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
self-confidence, initiative and good judgement
