Your Opportunity
Due to continued growth of our Corporate practice, we are looking at all levels from Lawyer to Senior Associate to join our national team. This role has the potential to be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
You will play a key role working with Australian and international clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestments, restructures, capital raisings, joint ventures and other commercial contracts. The emphasis of the role will be working on a broad range of foreign investment matters. These matters originate from a combination of our cross border clients who are transacting in Australia, our domestic clients who have foreign investors, as well as our close contacts with leading foreign law firms whose clients' global transactions extend into Australia. You will work closely with a range of leading international law firms who instruct us on complex cross border matters.

The Transaction Solutions team sits within our broader Capital Markets & Corporate line of business and is regarded as one of the most successful Corporate practices in Australia, consistently ranking amongst the top Australian M&A and ECM firms in League Tables.
Operating internationally, the team is led by leading practitioners with extensive experience in M&A (both public and private), Private Equity, Foreign Investment, Capital Markets and Corporate Advisory. They are the trusted advisors to international and local clients across a range of industry sectors including Financial and Business Services, Agribusiness, Real Estate, Technology, Education, Government, Health & Aged Care, Infrastructure and Energy & Resources.
More About You
We welcome applications from lawyers who have:
Minimum 2 + years' experience in Corporate M&A / Advisory – prior FIRB experience will be viewed favourably but is not a prerequisite
Experience working with cross-border corporate structures
Strong academic achievement
Strong technical ability, drafting and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
A team player attitude and the ability to mentor junior lawyers in the group
Resilience and a commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to our local and international client base.
