The role and what we are looking for

Working within our Automotive business division, this role is responsible for delivering targeted and engaging training to develop the skills and knowledge of our employees. Key focus areas will include but are not limited to, systems and sales training for our call centre and field teams.

The L&D Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Design, develop and implement the Learning & Development Strategy/Roadmap that includes a scope of technical, professional, sales and leadership learning and development.
  • Designing, facilitating, and implementing high quality learning programs to meet organisational and employee needs.
  • Using instructional design methodologies to create learning programs, workshop materials and other documentation that support adult learning principles (utilising eLearning, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions).
  • Developing training plans and related documentation to support business initiatives, projects, and programs.
  • Facilitating engaging training sessions in both virtual, blended and classroom environments.
  • Using Capricorn's learning management system (LMS) to deliver blended learning programs.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts in the business to develop training content.
  • Create content for and update SharePoint site and other Quick Reference Guides
  • Providing learning advice and solutions to managers.
  • Developing and coaching managers to support and encourage learning in the business.
  • Providing ideas on improving the L&D service and finding new and better ways to operate.
  • Providing ongoing reporting and analysis of L&D activities.
The successful candidate will be:
  • Experienced in instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Familiar with traditional and modern L&D methods (e.g., mentoring, coaching, on-the-job, e-learning, virtual, classroom, blended etc.)
  • Experienced in scoping, designing, and facilitating learning programs
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator and confident to speak with stakeholders at different levels
  • Certificate IV in training and assessment
  • Experienced in delivering a variety of system training, sales, and behavioural/soft skills programs in a corporate environment (desirable)
  • Tertiary qualified in training and development, HR or similar (desirable)
