Equinox Engineering is actively recruiting a Lead Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team to deliver conventional oil & gas and carbon capture pipeline projects. The role will be accountable for regular face-to-face liaison with our clients, and to provide leadership for the successful execution of capital projects.
About the job:
Brisbane office is seeking a Lead level Senior Civil/Structural engineer position, 10-20 years of experience in structural and foundation design, analysis, and resolution of problems. Provide direction and coordination of civil structural design in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Carbon Capture and Power Plant industrial projects.
Your Responsibilities:
Provide site civil, structural and foundation design of small to mid-size engineering projects and provide close supervision to Junior engineers.
Prepare accurate and complete design calculations as required to meet project requirements.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure effective quality project deliverables.
Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used.
Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.
Perform Lead Engineering responsibilities to estimate the engineering manhours and associated resources as per project schedules.
Assist in hiring and developing new resources to fulfill the ongoing and upcoming projects.
Your Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
Qualifications/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Civil and structural engineering from Accredited Program, higher advanced degrees preferred.
Chartership and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
Skills Requirement:
Working knowledge of RISA 3D.
Navisworks viewer or other 3D Model viewers
Familiar with commonly used civil/structural engineering standards and codes including but not limited to AS/NZS, codes such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS1657 as well as commonly used civil/structural engineering software.
Strong background in pile, concrete foundation and steel design is required.
