We’re establishing a new role to support a growing need for cloud data and analytics. This role combines development, automation, and analytical skills, and we expect it to evolve into a larger data and analytics engineering team. This is a new frontier for this new team and us. You will be challenged to think outside the box, identify new opportunities, transform data into actionable insights, support decisions, and develop data-driven automation.
In the role, you will:
- lead the design and establishment of the cloud-native data and analytics capabilities
- coach junior team members
- improve your leadership and analytical skills
- learn cloud technologies
- derive data-driven insights
- maintain and develop data-driven automation micro-services
- embrace DevOps culture
- develop new skills and grow your career
We anticipate that to excel in this role you will have:
- analytical mindset with passion for data, insights, and automation
- experience building modern data pipelines and platforms
- good problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- 5+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages - python, Node.js, Go, Java
You will be willing to learn:
- cloud technologies (AWS and potentially GCP)
- modern data architectures
- platform engineering and automation
- continuous delivery / continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines
- test driven development and automated testing
- design thinking
