YMCA Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) Childcare Centre is a purpose-built centre located on the rooftop of the hospital’s carpark, with state-of-the-art facilities, a purpose-built garden and modern equipment.

THE ROLE:
We are recruiting a Lead Educator for our Nursery Room on a permanent, full-time basis to join our team at YMCA SCUH Childcare Centre. You will be responsible for room management, including the children, program, staff, safety and environment.
Under guidance and instruction of the Centre Director, develop, plan and implement quality programs for children in alignment with the criteria
Assist the Centre Director in the day to day operations of the Centre as directed
Work with each individual child with consideration of his/her cultural background and respect their beliefs
Support the management of a workplace that supports diversity including gender, cultural and generational diversity; provide equal employment opportunity and foster a respectful, inclusive workplace
Take reasonable care to ensure their own safety and health and that of others, and to abide by their duty of care provided for in the legislation
SELECTION CRITERIA:
The successful candidate will possess the following
Diploma in Early Childhood or Diploma in Child Care or equivalent relevant qualification
Demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education
Demonstrated ability to effectively organise and plan activities and the ability to manage competing work priorities
Demonstrated customer service skills and an ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
Ability to effectively organise and plan activities
Have a current Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain
