About us:
Located in the Isaac region, Moranbah is on the Peak Downs Highway between Mackay and Clermont (150km SW of Mackay). Moranbah Veterinary Clinic is a modern country practice that provides professional and high standard health care for all pets great and small. This mixed clinic will allow you to develop experience in a variety of small animals, cattle, horses with some birds, pocket pets, reptiles and of course, wildlife. We are a 4 Veterinarian practice with a combined 50 years of experience, a supportive and encouraging practice manager, a team of 6 competent, qualified nurses and a dedicated receptionist to make our clients' visits an exceptional experience.

We offer our clients radiology, ultrasound, clinical pathology, vaccinations, orthopaedic & ophthalmic surgeries & basic pet health with up-to-date modern equipment.

Our clinic is proudly owned by Vets Central (VC Operations Pty Ltd) and as part of a larger organisation, you will have the benefit of a sharing of knowledge from various avenues.

About the Role:
As the Lead Vet (along with the support of the practice manager), you will be responsible for the management and supervision of the financial and clinical function of the business, including overseeing excellent standards of care in medically assessing, diagnosing, and treating animals presented to the clinic.

You will work closely with the Practice Manager in all areas of general practice and lead and manage staff to deal with any client issues.

Our Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification
Current Veterinary Board Registration + licence for Radiation and Microchipping
Proven experience within a lead role will be highly regarded but not mandatory
Large animal clinic but will consider vets with small animal experience as well as mixed/large
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Calm, compassionate, and professional demeanour
Attention to detail and excellent time management
Responsible, organized, self-directed and hard-working
Leadership skills and team orientation
