The role requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to changing environments, is experienced with agile practices, and has experience in leading the integration between multiple systems.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead design, development and execution of the Agency's website and portals technology strategy and services architecture.
  • Lead development and application of technical solutions to support and optimise delivery of integrated digital performance reporting and increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Agency's reporting functions.
  • Lead the integration between multiple systems and lead the technical conversations.
  • Manage relations with external contractors and service providers and monitor performance against contracts and service level agreements.
  • Strategically plan and oversee the development and continuous improvement of portal and website products that meet organisational objectives and support the identification of emerging issues and areas of risk for government, department, and the community.
  • Prepare complex briefings and reports that provide authoritative advice and reasoned recommendations to management and government agencies on matters relevant to the portfolio.
  • Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet state-wide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
  • Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's stakeholders and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency, and improved client outcomes.
  • Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Identify and actively manage emerging issues and areas of risk for government, department, and the community.
  • Work with senior management to set and achieve key performance indicators and standards.
  • Provide strategic thinking and future planning and oversee change management initiatives and integrated approaches to enhance compliance with department-wide policies.
  • Provide timely expert advice and develop open and effective communication strategies including collection of highly complex, contentious, or sensitive information on matters of staff or business.
  • Represent the department on key government and non-government committees and bodies concerned with achieving government and departmental objectives.
  • Lead and manage ad-hoc projects to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
Mandatory Vaccination Policy

The department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its workers and clients. As it is an essential element of any role within the department that employees be able to attend work onsite and to do so safely, employees are required to be up-to-date with their vaccinations against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment. This requirement applies unless they have a medical condition which means they cannot be vaccinated against COVID -19. Therefore, the department will ask any prospective employee, who has been identified as the preferred candidate for a role within the department, to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to any offer of employment being made. If a prospective employee has a relevant medical condition which means they cannot be vaccinated against COVID-19, they should contact the department to discuss their individual circumstances.

HOW TO APPLY:
