The Project

The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $2.6bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.

With works commenced early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our Team!

• Planning and delivering work on time and within budget
• Coordinate materials, deliveries and logistics
• Ensure works are undertaken safely
• Managing and leading workforce crews
• Participate in daily prestart and weekly toolbox meetings
• Participate in the development of and ensure the implementation, monitoring and documentation of SWMS's and Procedures.
• Management of compliance with respect to quality, safety and environment

About You

• Demonstrated experience working on major infrastructure construction projects
• Demonstrate civil experience in leading a team at different levels of a project
• Demonstrate experience managing a team and show proven results best for company
• Demonstrated experience complying with and driving a positive safety culture

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
