About the role
Assisting the Learning Services Manager in discovering and understanding the regional and local service related learning requirements.
By working with relevant internal stakeholders, to understand the organisations requirements so that a consistent, best approach to learning design and learning delivery can then be formulated.
This role will also contribute to the development and implementation of both the current and future learning needs as directed by the National Learning Services Manager.
The role will also be responsible in the review of mandated and/or locally required training, to determine training effectiveness, and to assist in offering solutions where barriers to training are identified.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with the organisation’s professional groups to understand the learning and development priorities
Ensure consistency in the delivery of learning, in partnership with the National Learning and Development team
Contribute in the development of Learning & Development programs based on organisational need/strategy ensuring they meet clinical standards and best practice requirements
Participate in the resolution of concerns, complaints and issues that may arise regarding the delivery of Learning & Development programs
Promote and assist as directed with the ongoing review and delivery of the National Clinical Competency strategy and framework
Participate in the development, sourcing, review and evaluation of potential e-learning options
Aid in the monitoring of compliance of Nationally developed Learning & Development programs across the organisation
Evaluate and monitor training content and completion outcomes with respect to Mandated Training education across the services
What you bring
Certificate IV in TAE Assessment and Workplace Training or equivalent
Sound understanding of the broad health sector education, compliance requirements as well as
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of training in health care
Demonstrated track record in the design and delivery of effective clinical education and competency programs
Sound understanding of continuous improvement principles and processes
Excellent communication skills as well as sound analytical and problem solving skills
A personal commitment to learning and development and leadership
Ability to work autonomously and accomplish objectives by working with and through others
Experience working as a Clinician in the health sector would be highly desirable
