We now have an exciting opportunity for an emerging academic to join a dynamic team of professionals within the College of Arts, Society and Education.
 
  • Full-time; continuing
  • Academic Level B – $103,238 - $121,815 p.a. + up to 17% super
  • Based at the Nguma-bada campus, Smithfield
 
What you can accomplish in the role
 
Working alongside a diverse group of academic and research staff, you will be responsible for the development of innovative, contemporary course material, and the coordination of subjects and delivery of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Additional duties will include research and publishing in the fields of Educational Psychology and/or Inclusive Education, and supervising Higher Degree Research candidates.
 
You will also have the opportunity to initiate and support community engagement activities, work collaboratively with schools in Northern Queensland and beyond, liaise with relevant organisations and stakeholders, and support the University’s Strategic Direction.
 
Preference will be given to applicants who are able to contribute to teaching within the suite of Education programs offered at James Cook University, and those who can contribute to the key priorities of the Education Academic Group – including regional, rural and remote Education, and Indigenous Education.
