Your new role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our team and participate in the delivery of teaching and research across multiple disciplines including health administration, data analytics, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health services research.
Due to the nature of research that we engage in, we’ve been uniquely placed to provide health leadership during an epidemic which has helped inform policy and is reflected in our agreements with the Department of Health, and through our key partnerships with the WA Primary Health Alliance and WA Country Health Service.
There are exciting improvements coming in our Health Administration courses including health data governance so the successful candidate will have an opportunity to help shape and steer the future direction of the discipline. Our ideal candidate will have a PhD along with teaching and research experience in one of our disciplines (health administration, data analytics, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health services research). Emerging or established teaching experience in either Health Planning and Evaluation, Health Data Governance, Health Leadership, and Safety and Quality in Healthcare, or ability to adapt to teach in one or more of these areas is desirable. They will also have the ability and willingness to teach across multiple disciplines such as those listed above.
We encourage Australian citizens and non-citizens to apply, however, as this is a continuing (permanent) role you will need to obtain permanent work rights in Australia to be considered, and you must be willing to relocate to Perth, Western Australia for the duration of the position. - Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality teaching across multiple relevant health disciplines, preferably with experience as a coordinator.
- Demonstrated high-quality research output in these areas, as part of a research group.
- Proven experience participating in writing applications for competitive funding and/or a track record of successful applications.
- Demonstrated ability to disseminate research findings through seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Proven track record of publishing in high-quality journals, often in collaboration with colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into policy/practice and make progress towards research impact.
- Experience undertaking supervision of honours, research masters and doctoral students.
- Experience undertaking administrative functions associated with teaching and research activities.
