Due to company growth this Commercial Litigation Firm is seeking an experienced Legal Clerk specialising in Commercial Debt Collection. Located centrally in the CBD, this role is to provide support in order to improve organisational effectiveness whilst maintaining a professional image.
The role initially is working from the office due to training but after probation will be a combination of Office and Work from Home.
Coming from a legal environment, acting specifically in insolvency/debt collection the main duties involve drafting and preparation of legal documents to include:
- Litigation
- Lodgement of caveats
- Handling legal action for Bankruptcies, company wind ups
- Dealing with the Sheriff’s Office
- Preparation of Court documents and claims
- Judgements
- General Administration
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across all levels of firm
- Efficient and accurate typing skills (intermediate computer skills)
- Highly organised and able to meet deadlines
- Adherence to confidentiality
- Time management skills with the ability to multi-task
To be considered for this role it is essential you have worked within a legal environment with a solid background in collections in order to understand the legal proceedings and processes. Additionally, you will be someone who can work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail.
