You would have 3 to 5 years PQE and be ready and able to work collaboratively within the Office of General Counsel at MinterEllison and more broadly across the Firm.

The Opportunity

With an exciting digital transformation journey ahead of it, MinterEllison is looking for a dynamic lawyer experienced with digital/technology projects to join its Office of General Counsel team. You will play a key role in the Firm fulfilling our purpose: to create lasting impacts for our people, our clients and our communities.

  • Advising the Firm on how to best manage legal risks arising from all aspects of its digital operations, ranging from day to day asset, data and security management to major system change program management;
  • Assist in negotiation of contracts for procurement of products and services, which range from enterprise IT system and telecommunication services, Cloud services, Software as a Service, facilities' asset management, sponsorships and subscriptions, training and consulting services;
  • Review and assist in negotiation of technology related client engagement, tenders and contracts;
  • Advising on Data Privacy related issues and incident management;
  • Assist in formulating and operationalising a range of regulatory, risk and policy initiatives related to digital operations; and
  • Cross collaborating on initiatives to improve internal operations and/or service offering for MinterEllison and its clients.

You will use your adaptive communication and management skills to influence a diverse set of stakeholders from Talent, Digital, Security, Procurement, Program Management, Finance, Corporate Operations as well as the partners, lawyers and consultants that deliver external client services.

At MinterEllison we support and encourage our people to work in a way that suits their needs, and we are happy to consider full-time, part-time or other flexible working arrangements in this role.
