Position: Lifecycle Services Engineer
Location: Western Australia
Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per annum
Hours: Full time / 38 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Lifecycle Services Engineer based in Perth, WA. Lifecycle Services Engineers provide technical service and support to Emerson's Australian and New Zealand customers based locally and throughout Australia & NZ for our products including Delta V, SIS, including maintenance services, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up and problem solution. They act as a focal point for customer technical support, preventative maintenance, improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Deliverables include
- Provide prompt response to customer requests for service
- Ensure timely execution of planned maintenance activities
- Provide phone support for DeltaV clients
- Customer site work may require periods of 1-2 weeks onshore and 3-4 weeks offshore, away from home
- Expected to be part of on-call roster
- Undertake or escalate technical investigations in response to customer requirements
- Develop and compile high quality technical investigation reports
- Provide technical advice to customers, arranging follow-up on more difficult matters
- Work on larger Delta-V implementation projects if required
- Deliver system and software upgrades and configuration often on site with our existing clients
- Have Networking and cybersecurity knowledge
- Provide support to other Emerson service branches as required
- Use Service Management Office (SMO) operating procedures and templates or Project Management Office (PMO) for applicable work scope
- Maintain appropriate documentation for all service or project related tasks and submit in timely manner
- Onsite technical maintenance experience on a DCS (DeltaV preferred)
- Chemical or electrical engineering degree, trade certificate or relatable apprenticeship
- DCS diagnostic and problem analysis experience
- Troubleshooting on DCS hardware, software, installation, configuration, integration and application enquiries
- Fault finding, minor upgrades, general repair and maintenance
- Flexibility to travel and be part of an on-call roster
