About the Centre
Carlton Baths Community Centre consists of a Gym, Functional training zone, Outdoor seasonal Pool, Sports Stadium and Group Fitness Studios. Our recreation centre is located in the heart of Carlton on Rathdowne Street. Our outdoor pool boasts a 25-meter lap pool and play pool. Our facility caters to the unique needs of the community surrounds and we pride ourselves on putting their needs first.
About the role
Carlton Baths is looking for a vibrant, motivated Lifeguard Team leader to motivate and oversee the Lifeguard team at our seasonal outdoor pool.
The role is for the duration of our peak period including the lead up to our pool opening (6-month position).
As the Seasonal Pool Lifeguard Team Leader at Carlton Baths you will play a key role within the Active Melbourne team. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of the seasonal Pool Lifeguard team, including recruitment, rostering, and staff leadership and development.
This is a fixed term part time role with an hourly rate of $29.08 per hour + super.

To be successful in this role you will:
* Have the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively

* Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work
Qualifications & Experience
* Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR Certificate
* PUAOPE010C Defibrillator (AED)
* Previous leadership experience is essential
* Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Business Management, or other related field will be highly regarded
