Our Lady Mercy Place Harris Park is opening in the first half of 2023. We are seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator to provide leadership and manage the housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring residents receive efficient and effective services, with all requirements met in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
As an ageing community, it is becoming increasingly difficult to care for the sick and frail at home. The newly developed site, Our Lady Mercy Place Harris Park will enable us to better care for and support our seniors and to keep them close within the community, near to their families, their people and their church.
As the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will facilitate the process of empowerment and enable the residents to make choices and decisions which maximise their participation in leisure activities and experiences that suits our Residents’ individual needs and maintains their dignity.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play an important role in providing leadership to lifestyle assistants and volunteers. In this role, you will lead the provision of quality lifestyle programs to residents by ensuring links to their interests and skills. This is achieved through the planning, implementation and evaluation of both individual and group lifestyle and recreational programs

Qualifications as a Diversional Therapist – minimum Certificate IV Lifestyle & Leisure
Clear understanding of the lifestyle role
Experience in aged care in a lifestyle role
First Aid Level II certificate
To be successful in this role you must be an experienced leader with a true passion for working in aged care. Establishing yourself as a respected leader, you will mentor others, provide lifestyle related coaching and direction to staff; you will be a positive, proactive and highly organised individual with excellent communication skills. With your experience in a similar role, you will have a solid understanding of catering, housekeeping and laundry functions. You have a good grasp of financial and people management, supporting overall strategic goals.
