We are seeking a reliable, creative and passionate Lifestyle Coordinator to continue and create wonderful opportunities and lifestyle choices within a person-centred model to work part-time (35 hours per week) at our Frankston facility.
About the role
As the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative programs for our residents. This includes developing and designing relevant assessments, procedures, and other documents to ensure our programs are compliant in accordance with Aged Care Standards. You will tailor activities and programs so that they are relevant and enjoyable for our culturally diverse residents.
About You
You are a person who can build and maintain relationships, you will be required to oversee and motivate our Lifestyle Assistant and Volunteers and just as importantly you will possess a positive warm nature with a warm smile to brighten the day of our residents. You must be able to relate and communicate well to older people particularly those living with dementia or a disability.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Community Services (Leisure and Health), Diversional Therapy
- Two years’ experience in a Lifestyle role
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- A passion for working in Aged Care and Lifestyle
- Able to work in a person-centred model and promote personal choice
- Proven ability to assess each resident’s social and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual lifestyle programs to meet their needs
- An understanding of the ageing process and caring for older people
- Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, delegate and attend to multiple tasks
- Ability to work with a team and excellent customer services skills
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to create posters, flyers, calendars, invitations
- NDIS Workers Screening Check, Covid-19 vaccines (mandatory)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
