AddressabbaCare is a community service which supports people with a disability and/or mental illness to live in their own community. Services provided by abbaCare focus on what our participants can do rather than what they cannot do.
AbbaCare’s Life Facilitators are our Support Workers. The position of an abbaCare Lifestyle Facilitator is hands-on and involves providing support to people of all ages. The role includes assisting with personal care, daily living and light household tasks and accessing the community.
You will have the ability to assist people with:
- Community participation
- Personal development
- Positive behaviour support
- Household tasks and personal cares

- Have completed, or willing to complete prior to commencing:
- NDIS New Worker Orientation Module

- First Aid/CPR certificate
- Certificate III in Individual Support/equivalent or willing to/currently undertaking same/similar
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights, and public holidays
- An ability and willingness to support others with personal care, meal preparation and light domestic duties as part of your role
- A capacity to perform any manual handling requirements of the role
- Hold a current driver’s licence and be willing to use own vehicle (if required) with comprehensive insurance
- Evidence of full COVID vaccination status.
- Good communication, interpersonal and basic technology skills (mobile phone app use).
