Recreational Activities Officer
Classification: Permanent Part-Time
Location: IRT Shoalhaven

- IRT Culburra - Permanent Part Time - 15 hrs per week
- IRT St Georges Basin - Permanent Part Time - 20 hrs per week

This extremely rewarding role will contribute to the activity offerings for residents to enhance their life and sense of security, companionship, fun and relaxation.
The primary purpose of this role is to assist our residents on bus trips, facilitate onsite activities, including bingo, floor bowls etc. and work alongside our supportive Lifestyle Team.
This is a permanent part-time position.

To be successful you will have:
- A qualification in an appropriate field such as Certificate IV Leisure and Health (or be willing to obtain complementary via the IRT Academy )
- Initiative and creative flair
- Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work as part of a team and be able to prioritise work
- Willingness to work on the weekends is also a requirement for the role
- Have the ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their day
