Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coordinator role based in Ballarat, where variety is a part of your everyday

I am currently partnered with one of our valued clients who are seeking a Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator for immediate start on a 3-month minimum assignment, with the potential to move to permanent for the right candidate.

Your new role

Through the introduction of activities, programs and hands-on support of residents, the primary focus of this role is the creation of a vibrant, inviting and active village with a strong sense of community that is inclusive, supportive and allows the residents to live their life to the fullest and the village to reach its full potential.

Other key focusses are the support of residents and their lifestyle and wellbeing needs by planning, organising and implementing a range of programs and services that will support the residents' emotional and physical wellbeing. The LWBC will also provide care support and guide them through and/or connect them to services as required.

The position will also support management, perform reception and administration duties required. The LWBC is responsible for prompt response to all village emergency calls and to provide emergency assistance as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • The ideal candidate will hold either a Cert 4 Lifestyle & Health, Cert 3 in Aged Care, be a qualified Exercise Physiologist or equivalent qualification to these levels.
  • Experience in health, aged or community care preferred.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Positive, energetic, hands-on, social, and compassionate person with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in working with seniors or general life experience/maturity.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Driver's licence and confident to drive a 12 seater bus.
  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and multi task.
  • Team player, people skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Operational Risk requirements, including Risk Assessments.

Desirable

  • Computer literacy with sound knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Potential Background

  • Registered or enrolled nurse, lifestyle coordinator, RAO, community groups coordinator
