We have an exciting opportunity for 4 new Line Chefs, to join a new a ‘rapid deployment camp', supporting the mining operations, based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This is a FIFO role. Which will see this person based onsite, at the village for 14 days, then 7 days off.
Scope of role:
- Prepare, cook, and present high quality food and beverages to agreed menus and operating standards, with a high focus on food safety, timeliness, presentation, and professional, friendly interaction with guests and staff
- Prepare and present standard menus to the agreed menu cycle and production plan in accordance with the standards required by the client.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining room are maintained to the standards required by the client.
- Ensure prompt and friendly service in the dining room to all guests and visitors to the Village.
- Maintain safe and hygienic food preparation and storage areas, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements, and correct labelling of food with day dots.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or higher.
- International qualifications must be recognised by an Australian Trade College.
- Open drivers' licence, Class C.
- Experienced in high volume Catering as a qualified Chef.
- High standards in food storage and preparation methods.
- Working knowledge of current Food Safety Standards, ISO and HACCP.
- FIFO Industry experience (Preferred)
