The Role
Based at our Tongala facility, Greenham are currently recruiting for full-time, reliable and experienced Cattle Handler / Yardperson. This position requires teamwork, discipline, alertness, physical fitness and strength of mind and body. All employees are required to comply with site safety, quality and production requirements.
All successful applicants will undergo a physical functional capabilities assessment and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. All Greenham sites are drug & alcohol free sites and all Greenham employees are Q-fever vaccinated.
You Will Have
- Previous experience in livestock handling (receiving, mustering and preparation for processing).
- Previously maintained accurate records, stock counts and documentation.
- Commitment to high animal welfare standards.
- Demonstrable experience in drafting, cutting out, pen movements, washing, cleaning and unloading.
- Ongoing reliability ensuring you commit to shifts as rostered.
- Demonstrable safe working skills and habits.
Suitable candidates without qualifications but heaps of experience who are willing to learn, be reliable and consistent will receive fully comprehensive and nationally accredited training.
