Job Description
Reporting to Rail Manager – WA, the position includes the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring safe and efficient shunting activities operating our Locomotives and Rolling Stock.
- Commitment to safety and The Spirit of SCT in the workplace is essential
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT Rail’s policies and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
- A strong customer focus orientation
- Be able to work in a team environment where communication and collaboration is vital to a successful shift.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in rail operations.
- Train Driving Qualifications. (Shunting qualifications a bonus)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Current Track Access Permit (TAP)
- Current Cat 1 Rail Medical or ability to pass Cat 1 medical
- Valid C Class Driver’s License
- Conduct himself/herself in a manner that ensures SCT Rail is recognised as a safe, reliable and quality supplier of rail related services
