Locum/Part-time Pharmacist

The why
Are you looking at working with a medical cannabis startup on a mission to normalise plant-based treatments, that believes in accessible and judgement-free access to treatments for all?

Most medicinal cannabis consumption is done in order to improve the quality of life, it is as much about sparking enjoyment in lives as it is about clinical treatments. Despite this increased quality of life, there is still a heavy stigma surrounding cannabis and its uses. 

You will be a big part in altering this perception, working alongside the CEO and the team of prescribing Doctors. 

What you will be doing 

A big proportion of your role will be ensuring everything is done accurately and in line with regulations - pretty standard in that regard.

You will play a part in helping improve on our SOPs, looking for ways to improve efficiencies without introducing risks into the process. As we expand, this will form the basis of our best practice methodologies - so the work you do now is crucial to our long term success. 

The role can be an ongoing locum relationship on an ad-hoc basis or it can be something more regular. 

Your background

To accomplish all of this, you are going to need to be registered as a Pharmacist with AHPRA, and have a thorough understanding of dispensing protocols and compliance requirements (both State and Federal). 

This won’t be done in isolation, there will be plenty of collaboration between you and our our pharmacists and doctors - patient outcomes are the top priority, but without compliance they are meaningless.
