Description
You are in charge of executing physical flows of the goods (purchased and manufactured items): reception, putaway, storage, picking and line feeding, packing, shipping, inventory control, cycle counting and materials handling. Your target is to align physical and systems flows in a safe, timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to support production schedules.
- Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to optimize transportation routes and reduce costs.
- Implement and maintain logistics processes and procedures to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Utilize ERP systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and quality assurance, to address logistical challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to transportation and logistics.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide assistance during audits and contribute to maintaining accurate documentation.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritise tasks.
* Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry best practices is advantageous.
