About the role
We are looking for an efficient and organised individual to join our operations as a Logistics Scheduler on a fixed-term basis.
The Logistics Scheduler plays a crucial role in supporting the AFF Supply Chain business unit, managing the end-to-end movement of AFF’s supply chain ensuring smooth product flow to and from port. The Logistics Scheduler will support the Logistics Manager in a safe, profitable, and viable warehousing and supply chain business delivering a high level of customer service throughout the operations.
Key duties
- Provide a high commercial service standard to internal and external stakeholders for supply chain, warehousing and commodity storage and handling.
- Support the Logistics Manager in day-to-day rail operations, including forecasting and delivery of containers to intended vessels prior to cut off.
- Assist in coordinating movement of commodities to and from AFF facilities by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow.
- Communicate with the internal business units as required, including Warehousing and Marketing plus external customers to determine volumes and service requirements.
- Ensure all accounts payable and receivable accurate and processed in a timely basis.
About you
- You are an organised, self-motivated individual – you are confident in planning and executing logistic deliverables to the customer.
- You are an effective verbal and written communicator – you are able to communicate with all relevant stakeholders, internal and external.
- You work effectively both independently and as part of a team, adapting to your environment well with the right attitude and commitment to continually developing your skill set.
- You have previous experience in cotton bale & grain logistics or have an interest in gaining experience in this area.
- You possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
