Job Description
We seek to employ a Loss Prevention and Compliance Manager to join our Brisbane team. This role will be part of our Finance and Operations leadership teams, with responsibility for mitigating the group's loss through conducting regular venue visits and audits to help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, driving process improvements, and investigations and partnering with Venue Leadership teams to develop an understanding of loss prevention strategies.
As the Loss and Prevention Manager you will:
- Conduct regular venue visits/stock takes to audit policy compliance, and identify risks and areas of opportunity.
- Investigating all breaches of policies, procedures and incidents where loss has already occurred.
- Reporting and liaison with and compiling evidence for all police matters including venue/facility break-ins or theft, or fraudsters and internal cases, in line with company guidelines.
- Implementing strategies and/or controls to reduce loss and mitigate identified risks across all venues.
- Reviewing and investigating high-risk transactions including, discounts, refunds, voids, employee discount purchases and cash handling for any potential fraud.
- Delivering awareness and risk prevention training sessions to employees to improve knowledge of Loss Prevention.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2-3 years experience in a multi-site food and beverage loss prevention / risk-based role
- Experience in implementing plans to reduce loss and manage risks
- Able to operate independently, professionally, and with a high degree of ethics.
- Able to understand and interpret data to drive action.
- Able to quickly learn new technologies & software
- Strong excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Previous accounting experience, preferably with food and beverage operations, with an emphasis in auditing, documentation, and process evaluation.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills – up, down, and across the organization
- Must have a valid driver’s license
