DC Administrator Role (Training and Safety focus) at Kmart live and breathe the Kmart values and are responsible for recruiting, leading, developing and coaching their team members. Our teams are passionate about the work they do and strive to continuously raise the bar!

What you'll be doing

As a DC Administrator in Kmart you will:

  • Maintain LMS (learning management system) training records for the site.
  • Maintain site skills matrix to ensure training provided to team aligns to duties.
  • Ensure new team members are inducted, understand the sites safety expectations and that appropriate new start training is coordinated, conducted and recorded.
  • Preparation of site safety reports.
  • Participation in and minuting of site safety meetings, ensuring communication back to the wider team of key information, learnings, insights and expectation.
  • Assist in the effective implementation of National safety initiatives, as they are cascaded down to the site.
  • Conduct safety and 5S audits, file score cards and action feedback provided
  • Identify site hazards and escalate and assist the team in taking corrective action
  • Assist the team with reporting and investigation of incidents, near misses and hazards Complete regular safety audit and floor walks and maintain records of safety walks conducted across the site
  • Contractor management and conducting site inductions
  • Coordinating the drug and alcohol testing process
  • General admin and EA support to the DC Manager and site management team and a back-up for other admin tasks such as payroll and accounts when the other DC Administrator is absent
To be successful in this role you'll have:
  • Demonstrated ability in working collaboratively with a diverse group of teams
  • Experience in administration
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Passion for safety and training
  • Ideally qualifications such as Cert IV WHS and or Cert IV Training & Assessment
Reporting to the DC Manager, you will work Monday to Friday (no weekends). Start and finish times are flexible as the DC operates both AM and PM shifts, however ideally you would start sometime between 6.30am and 9.00am. Previous Administrators have gone onto expand their careers in Supply Chain and specialist functions such as Safety, demonstrating possibility of career advancement.
