Zoom Recruitment are currently seeking candidates for multiple different roles such as, Machine Operators/Loader Drivers, Overhead Crane operators and Welders for a start in our clients Cavan operation.
Roles may be required on both Day shift or Afternoon Shift
Tasks and Responsibilities of a Machine Operator/Loader Driver:
- Operation of Beam Line Machine
- Operation of a Bandsaw
- Operation of a Plate Kinetic Machine
- Basic Maintenance work of Machines
- Operation of Over Head Cranes
- Picking/emptying machines with product
- Observing/offsiding the overHead Crane moving product to its base
- Building a load from a delivery docket
- Moving products which involves using the overHead Crane to transport finished products to designated locations within the facility.
- Loading trucks/trailers with products.
- Using the overHead Crane to move reinforcing bars to various locations including loading and offloading trailers
Tasks and Responsibilities of a Welder:
- Welding and fabrication
- Cutting and bending reinforced steel
- Read and interpret basic drawings
- Loading and unloading when required
- Assisting with customer service
- Assist with production work and operation of machinery
- Keeping a neat and tidy work area.
- Any other duties as associated with the role
Tasks and Responsibilities of a Overhead Crane Operator:
- Operation of the overhead grantry crane to move product and load to base
- Using the overHead Crane to move reinforcing bars to various locations including loading and offloading trailers
- Duties associated with the manufacturing of reinforced steel
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
Requirements and Attributes:
- Forklift (LF) license (desirable)
- Crane (CB) License (desirable)
- You must have Machine Operating experience
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication in a similar environment (min. 6mths)
- Experience operating an overhead gantry crane in a similar environment (ESSENTIAL)
- Overhead Gantry Crane Ticket (3T)
- Driver's licence (essential)
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
- FULL working rights in Australia. This role will be working fulltime hours immediately and ongoing. Applicants with TEMPORARY unlimited work rights need not apply.
- Ability to pass full medical including D&A testing
