If you are seeking an ad hoc casual role with a great lifestyle that’ll help you keep fit, this full time Mail Sorting Officer role in our New England (Tamworth and surrounds) Mail Sorting Centre could be for you!

Offering the flexibility of both morning, afternoon and night shifts, you can enjoy your lifestyle to the max! You might not be working from home, but you’ll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that!  

You’ll be

  • Manually handling (using pallet jacks, walkie stackers or conveyor belts) letters and parcels as you sort them 
  • Be on your feet for shifts while meeting all accuracy and time requirements
  • Fit and able to bend, lift and twist as you lift up to 16kg repetitively 
  • Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your development 

About you

  • You are flexible and comfortable to be rostered on ad hoc shifts, working additional hours if required 
  • You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly 
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory 
  • Current forklift license and experience is highly desired, not required 

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Salary for this role starts with a trainee rate of $47,028 plus penalties depending on your shift time, plus 12% Superannuation per annum. After approx. 3 months of constant work, the salary increases to $50,276 plus the above
