We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Plant Electrician to join our dynamic maintenance team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of our recycling due to significant growth and investment.
The Role Details
We have an immediate opening for a confident Electrician to join our Afternoon team at our premium recycling facility in Somerton. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems
- Diagnosing, fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to manufacturer's specifications and standards
- Conducting regular inspections to prevent equipment failures or hazards
- Maintaining accurate records in the preventive maintenance schedule and other relevant documents
- Optimizing production efficiency
- Contributing to a safe and compliant working environment
- Performing preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Providing service to maintain production and resolving operational or technical problems
- Working collaboratively with other team members while maintaining individual accountability
- Building effective relationships with fellow Electricians, Fitters, Fitter Operators, Team Leaders, the Production Manager, and the Engineering Manager to achieve successful outcomes
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume industrial environment
- Self-motivation with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach
- A background in fault finding with PLCs
- Experience with SAP or similar computerized maintenance systems is advantageous
- Exceptional skills in electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
- Strong communication and reporting skills with a solid commitment to safety and quality
About You
- Relevant trade qualifications as an Electrician (A Class electrical licence) with preferred trade experience in the FMCG, Packaging, or Recycling Industries
- Experience with high-speed packaging machinery is highly regarded
- Availability to work Monday - Friday, 2pm to 10pm, plus overtime when required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing work demands
