About the opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Shift Electrician to work within our Bakery manufacturing site located in Fyshwick. Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager this role is responsible for the maintenance of all electrical site equipment whilst on shift, attending to breakdowns and ensuring stores are kept updated alongside diagnosing and resolving faults throughout the site.

Shift pattern available:
Wednesday - 6.00am – 12.00pm
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6.00am - 6.00pm

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
  • High level of technical and diagnostic skills including fault finding of electrical circuits and PLC programs
  • Participate in the repairs and preventive maintenance of all site plant and equipment
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices
  • Assist with other duties to ensure the effective operation of the maintenance team
  • Identifying and resolving equipment reliability and improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with operations personnel to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate/Licence
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • PLC Knowledge essential (Allan Bradley desirable)
  • Processed based risk assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal and written
  • Demonstrate an understanding for safety, health and environment
