About the role
Our Northern NSW maintenance team is a highly agile and capable group of individuals tasked with ensuring the fit and proper performance of plant and equipment through first-class scheduled, reactive and preventative maintenance activities. This role works alongside a team of fitters, electricians and mechanics to service requirements at our country grain receival / distribution sites north from Croppa Creek, down through to Gunnedah and over west toward Walgett.
Specifically, you will:
- Undertake fault finding and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Attend sites outside of core operating hours (as directed) where equipment failure or breakdowns occur
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports, and track / complete work orders in our system.
The position works Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work additional hours, including weekends to meet operational requirements and for breakdown support.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate has a relevant trade certificate in mechanical, fitting and turning, boilermaking or similar. You will have proven fault-finding capabilities and be proactive and safety focused. Computer literate, self-motivated and reliable, you’ll have solid time management abilities and a high standard of communication.
The ability to work at heights and within confined spaces is required. An MR licence would be preferred, but not essential.
In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical. A current, valid driver’s licence is also required.
