About our Engineering Team
The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering operational excellence. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of our fleet.
As part of the investment in our future, we have a fleet of new A320NEO’s arriving from mid-2022 and we recently launched the Melbourne Engineering Precinct, which is the primary maintenance hub of our network. Our team has the opportunity to work not only on Jetstar aircraft, but also support Qantas Group A320/1, B717 and A321 Freighter aircraft and Jetstar Branded Airlines (JBA’s) in Singapore and Japan. The Melbourne Precinct has also become the proud new home for our Apprentice Program.
The Opportunity
We now have a rare opportunity to join our Engineering Maintenance Planning Team in the role of Maintenance Planner. Reporting to the Lead, Line Planning, your primary focus will be the planning of the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, that are to be undertaken by various Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMO's). You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance of the Jetstar Airways fleet and maintaining operational integrity.
As a Maintenance Planner, key responsibilities of this role include:
Assisting the Maintenance Operation Centre (MOC) in providing on-going compliance control of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activity
Maintaining compliance control of all work packaged issued via TRAX
Demonstrating commitment to CASA and other industry regulatory authorities that continued airworthiness management and company standards can be sustained by sound process and procedures as detailed in the Maintenance Operations Procedures Manual
Providing Engineering input to Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC) decision making processes for disruption management
Assisting in the control of schedules with the Aircraft Allocations Coordinator
Investigating and reviewing serious incidents and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions
Maintaining accurate aircraft standards to support optimised planning outcomes
If you bring the following qualification and experience, then we would love to hear from you:
A detailed understanding of Aircraft Line / Base Maintenance and Operations* Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning
Ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of TRAX, Rocade and Microsoft Office applications
Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement
Able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a team environment
