Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. Reporting to the Maintenance HME Superintendent, you will provide leadership for your team while delivering service, expertise and coaching required to sustain high levels of plant and equipment safety, reliability and operational performance during day to day activities. Your focus will always be ensuring the health and safety of our people while meeting organizational goals and statutory compliance.

About you:
A trade qualification as an electrician, fitter, light vehicle mechanic or boilermaker is essential;
Familiarisation and understanding of relevant legislation and experience in open cut mining;
Be proficient in managing priorities, resources and forward thinking
A proficient user of SAP and an understanding of the planning and scheduling function
A demonstrated track record as a leader, development of others and achieving results
Proven problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement
Have an understanding for and focus on improving Mean Time Between Failure MTBF;
Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston;
Demonstrated ability to work with other departments to supporting business objectives
