The role:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor - Asphalt will have responsibility to oversee the fixed site maintenance program working closely with the state Maintenance manager, internal maintenance staff and contractors to deliver safely required outcomes. This role will ensure work undertaken safely with systems and processes in place, aid with maintenance work programming / shutdowns and monitor costs to budgeted targets. This role can be tailored to the right candidate with unlimited development opportunities.
Key duties:
- Actively promote and lead-safe work practice and the adherence to relevant Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems, processes and behaviors at all times;
- Collaboration in Overseeing the life cycle for all assets; including maintenance, upgrades, capital investment etc.
- Manage maintenance expenditure to achieve operational and cost budgets.
- Conduct reviews of current practices and implement improvements through the use of continuous improvement tools;
- Collaboration with operational teams to maximise equipment availability;
- Oversee site activities to comply with statutory standards, regulatory standards and contractual arrangements;
- Ensure the implementation of planned and preventative maintenance activities;
- Ensure Document maintenance records, processes, and procedures for all plant and equipment are maintained
- Support the Management of maintenance contractors
- Work closely with state maintenance manager to ensure corporate strategy is implemented
- A demonstrated commitment and desire to prioritise and improve safety, including experience with risk assessment tools, SWMS, permits, contractor management.
- Knowledge and understanding of asphalt fixed plant operations
- Proven ability and experience in maintenance management/planning including the use of a maintenance management systems
- Capability to lead a team of people in a highly dynamic environment with competing priorities;
- Strong people skills and communication skills;
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in an engineering or maintenance related discipline will be viewed favorably.
- Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills;
