About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting the operation of the embedded Finance Business Partnering model within the University. You will provide financial administration, including assisting with financial reporting, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and financial analysis. Your role is pivotal in managing a range of accounting tasks with ease.
This opportunity also offers significant learning potential. You will have the chance to engage in Finance Business Partnering activities, collaborating with senior leaders from various departments to support the achievement of strategic and operational goals. Your support to Finance Business Partners in financial performance evaluation, resource allocation, and provision of financial insights will offer you invaluable professional development experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain the Chart of Accounts for one or more facilities in line with the policies set by the finance function
  • Track financial activities and contribute to the integrity of financial reporting
  • Investigate complex transactions in consultation with Finance Business Partners and stakeholders
  • Contribute to initiatives including data gathering, tracking, value added analysis, and reporting
Who we are looking for
We are currently seeking Management Accountant professionals who demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to thrive in complex and fast-paced environments. You will leverage your strong communication skills to produce well-documented, clear, and concise outputs from financial analysis and investigation. Excellent time management skills are essential, along with a keen desire to learn, the ability to work independently, and effectively prioritise and deliver competing tasks.
You will also have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce and/or equivalent experience
  • CPA/CA qualified or studying towards accreditation
  • Knowledge of financial planning and associated processes
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex numbers and findings in an easily understandable manner
