Form of work Seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a 3 month temporary assignment, with an immediate start. This position is for a Research Institute, located in the Adelaide CBD.
Your main responsibility will be to work with all branches across SA, building costing models and structures to create greater consistency across the institute.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with internal stakeholders, maintain relationships
Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
Construct data accumulation systems
Plan and record variable costs (e.g. operations costs)
Reviewing profitability of the Institute
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
Prepare budgeting reports (for each department)
Analyse and report profit margins
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
Assisting with all year-end and month-end accounting tasks
Other ad hoc duties as directed by the finance manager
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Degree qualified in an accounting related subject
CA/CPA qualified (preferred)
Excellent level of excel skills
Strong communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously
