Key responsibilities of the role include:- Lead and manage the Business Services team, CCQ and coordinate business and administrative functions including business planning, finance, budget, procurement, information management, communications, human resource management, and general administration.
- Provide expert advice on issues relating to the business management of the CCQ.
- With a focus on driving continuous improvement, lead and manage the development and implementation of policies, practices and technologies to ensure cost effectiveness as well as compliance with relevant statutory and departmental requirements.
- Resolve complex problems and negotiate outcomes to ensure solutions are consistent with the strategic direction of the CCQ.
- Provide planning, policy and operational advice and assistance to the Director and other DJAG senior executives on issues relating to business management and administration.
- Govern and report on operational and development activities to ensure that activities are structured, planned and delivered within requisite timeframes.
- Establish and maintain effective working partnerships with internal and external service providers to support the delivery of coronial services across the State, including active participation as a member of the CCQ leadership team.
- Provide advice and assistance on the implementation and application of relevant legislation, awards, directives, standards, policies and procedures relevant to the corporate management of the CCQ.
- Represent CCQ as required in discussions and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders and prepare submissions, briefs and responses relating to business and operational issues impacting on the CCQ.
- Supervise and manage a small team of business support personnel, including supporting the planning of career and capability development opportunities for business and administration staff.
