This is an exciting new opportunity for a motivated and experienced manager passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children and providing a safe and relaxed environment for parents and children who are accessing the Children's Contact Service.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader to manage the day-to-day performance of the Contact Centre Service (CCS) delivery in Griffith including, planning, budget control, program development, networking, and supervision of staff.
The Children's Contact Service is a place for parents to engage in safe and friendly change-over and change-back in a relaxed, family atmosphere, in which children from separated families can connect with both parents.
Key duties for this role include:
- Provide leadership of the team to meet strategic objectives, service planning, promotional activity and networking for CCS
- Provide support, team building, coaching and development of staff
- Undertake recruitment, induction and training for the Children's Contact Service
- Complete observation reports and conduct ongoing assessment, case planning, monitoring and review of families through the service
- Develop family case management plans and client goals to instruct case management plans.
- Follow child protection procedures, complete risk assessment and procedures
- Proactively manages budgets, equipment, assets and contracts to ensure operating results and sustainability of services.
This is a permanent position, with the flexibility to negotiate your working hours up to 75 hours per fortnight (3 - 5 days per week). This position may also require some evening and weekend work, as well as the the availability to be on call.
A driver's licence is essential, and access to a car is highly desirable. This position will be based in Griffith, NSW, and may also require travel within the local region.
The FTE base annual salary for this position is $113,626.50 pa + superannuation, access to NFP salary packaging and other great benefits such as additional days of paid leave on top of standard leave entitlements.

Prior experience working with Children's Contact Services, and families and children experiencing separation, family breakdown, and high levels of family conflict will also be highly regarded.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum Graduate Diploma or Bachelor in psychology/behavioural or social science/social work/children's services/community services or other related field; or currently working towards a degree in psychology, social work or related field
2. Demonstrated professional experience in one or more of the following:
- working in a Children's Contact Service and/or with families and children experiencing separation and family breakdown and high levels of family conflict, and/or
- one or more areas of clinical work, e.g. counselling, dispute resolution, relationship education, children's services, men's programs, family law etc. and/or
- early intervention, assessment, case management and therapeutic support to children and young people experiencing risk
3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of:
- child development, child protection and family violence issues
- the existing framework of the Children's Contact Service, and a demonstrated capacity to work within it
4. In-depth knowledge of relevant sectors and Federal and State legislation
5. Strong commitment to, and the ability to lead staff in, working in the best interests of children as articulated in the Family Law Act 1975, in the United Convention on the Rights of the Child, and in accordance with the Royal Commission into the Institutional Responses into Child Sexual Abuse Ten Child Safe Standards
6. Demonstrated, relevant management experience and a proven track record of clinical and line supervision and support to multidisciplinary teams working with families, children and young people experiencing challenges
7. Highly developed interpersonal, conflict resolution, negotiation and communication skills
8. Proven knowledge of child development, child protection, mandatory reporting, suicide prevention/ intervention, trauma and family violence issues
9. Demonstrated experience in meeting performance indicators and organisational compliance requirements
10. Demonstrated experience in staff recruitment and development; client centred service design and delivery; program evaluation and reporting
11. Experience in establishing community links and contacts for the purpose of developing and promoting strategic partnerships
