This position provides strategic oversight of the LHD’s clinical costing and associated patient activity data streams.
The position is required to provide accurate, reliable, relevant and timely clinical costing and strategic data information to enable senior executives, clinicians and managers in decision making.
The position takes senior leadership for the provision and analysis of the Annual Unaudited Return (UAR) for NSW Health and the National Hospital Data Collection that is submitted to the Commonwealth (via NSW Health) for National costing studies and the development of national cost weights.
The position is responsible for the development of, maintenance and progressing quality improvement in relation to clinical costing and clinical data systems within the MLHD.
The role provides strategic oversight of the LHD’s primary data systems ensuring that data quality indicators are achieved. The position provides authorative advice to the data stream business analysts and is a key contact for the LHD
The position provides high level technical support, advice and recommendations to the Manager Performance & Activity. The incumbent is required to participate in various Committees involving District Executive, Base Hospital Executive and Clinical Leaders and other health service managers.
