About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager Governance Services, the Manager Compliance and Risk will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure the Trust continues to manage risk effectively and meet all compliance obligations. The position will also work closely with the Venues Risk and Safety Manager to ensure operational risk management and reporting is robust and complies with the organisation’s risk policies.
This position will provide advice on enterprise risk management and compliance activities. This includes advising executive and senior leaders on compliance and reporting requirements, facilitating discussions in respect to risk appetite, risk tolerance & risk mitigation and helping to create a positive risk culture. In addition, this role helps ensure all internal and external compliance requirements are met including facilitating attestations for legislative and regulatory compliance.
About you:
You have the ability to develop, maintain and enhance an organisation-wide risk management framework and associated processes.
You are experienced in assisting leadership teams to understand and manage risk and compliance as part of the organisation’s operating rhythm
You have a demonstrated understanding of risk management principles and public sector compliance requirements
You have highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and with multiple stakeholders
Skills & Knowledge required:
Knowledge and understanding of public sector governance, risk management and compliance frameworks or the ability to quickly acquire same
Demonstrated experience of managing enterprise risk and developing risk management frameworks and procedures
Analytical, problem solving and report writing skills
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Computer literate with a reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation
