The Community You Will Join:
The Hosting Geos Team ensures that Airbnb is locally relevant and serves the needs of our global hosts and guests, helping regions more efficiently plan and execute growth strategies across Hosting in a way that will resonate with our communities.
The Difference You Will Make:
In this position you will lead a team of market managers and be responsible for the end-to-end strategy for optimising supply, host quality, host community, account management and optimization in the assigned markets. An effective collaborator, you will frequently engage with our global supply leadership and other departments to drive cross-functional business initiatives. At the same time, you should be an independent operator - comfortable with defining what success will look like for yourself and your team and then effectively delivering against that. You will sit on the ANZ Leadership Team and help deliver the broader strategy for the region.
A Typical Day:
Inspire, motivate and lead a team of Market Managers and Senior Market Managers, who are responsible for managing partner relationships with Airbnb Hosts and Professional Host Companies
Own, drive and maximise business performance of your team including proactively designing, setting, executing, reporting and iterating on the supply strategy for the region
Onboard, manage and optimise quality partners, along with ensuring Host engagement and performance.
Partner with the Hosting Geos leadership and other teams within Airbnb to share strategic insights and collaborate on global & cross-functional initiatives.
Regular forecasting, planning and reporting, with the support of the regional APAC team.
Identify key barriers/levers, market shifts and trends, and provide scalable solutions to overcome them.
Lead the local Community team to ensure quality supply and engagement goals
Through training, goal setting and feedback, work with your team to achieve their long-term professional development and career growth goals.
Your Expertise:
10+ years of professional experience, with a focus on owning client relationships and business strategy, with at least 5+ years in a team leadership role
Online double-sided marketplace management experience preferred
Hospitality or Travel industry experience is a plus
A deep analytical ability that can leverage data to propose new business opportunities across distinct and varying market stages.
A bold and compassionate leader with a proven ability to grow, develop and scale high performing teams.
Familiarity with leading complex, global and/or cross-functional projects from start to finish
Ability to influence product, marketing, communications, policy, and other cross functional stakeholders to attain new revenue streams.
Capacity to balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer term strategic execution
You thrive in a collaborative environment but can also prioritize and manage yourself to get things done with minimal oversight
You think and act like an entrepreneur: you are resourceful, passionate about piloting new ways of working and quick to scale success
Ability to travel up to meet with Hosts, Community and internal stakeholders
