An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Department of Government Services as Manager - HR Business Partnerships to provide strategic and operational HR advice and support.
The responsibilities of the People and Culture Branch include providing HR advice and services to the Department of Premier and Cabinet and its portfolio agencies and the Department of Government Services, to create a high performing workplace that puts people first.
As the Manager - HR Business Partnerships, you will lead and coach a team of skilled HR professionals in the provision of strategic and operational HR advice and encourage a culture of best practice, continuous improvement, strategy and relationship management amongst the team. Collaborating on the development of change management initiatives to drive a culture that embraces transformation will also be an essential requirement of this role.
This is a unique opportunity that will allow the successful candidate to develop initiatives to empower people, invest in the department's culture and advance DGS' HR capability.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
Proven experience in leading HR Business Partnership functions and managing organisational change and transformation processes, preferably within a government setting
The ability to maximise team effectiveness by selecting, developing, leading and motivating a high performing business partnering team
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
The ability to effectively influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders
A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and contemporary developments in human resources management, including the Fair Work Act 2009
