About the role

We’re looking for a professional Manager – HR Operations with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a Full-Time basis for 12 months a maternity leave cover, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

The Manager HR Operations will lead and enhance our core people activities throughout the employment life-cycle to ensure leaders have the information they need to make great decisions and to provide a positive employee experience.

  • Lead the development of BSL’s people management systems to enable a contemporary employment life-cycle management program that has exceptional employee experience and supports leaders to have the information they need to make great decisions.
  • Lead, coach, manage, support and develop the HR Operations team to deliver timely and accurate information and services in a reliable and efficient manner.
  • Drive and proactively seek out people/user centred continuous improvement across the People and Culture function, including compliance and reporting to evolve and enhance the People and Culture service delivery
  • Establish and implement software solutions, process redesign, operational standards,
    procedures, processes and guidelines that are human/user centred, consulting
    stakeholders, providing communications, conducting training and providing relevant
    reporting to ensure effective utilisation.

 

Salary will be in the range of $120-150K per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation plus non-for-profit salary packaging options.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources and significant relevant experience in human resources with a focus on contemporary HR practices, operational and compliance management and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working in a large diverse organisation managing enterprise resource systems based on human centred design principles.
  • Demonstrated strong positive experience successfully undertaking process reviews, developing new fit for purpose and user centred processes, implementing, effectively communicating, and evaluating processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly developed leadership skills, ability to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships through an approachable style as well as the ability to manage and work in a multi-disciplinary cross functional team with a passion for continuous improvement
