Liquor & Gaming NSW administers the regulatory framework for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino, and registered clubs’ sectors in NSW. This includes undertaking compliance and enforcement activities, providing policy advice to government, licensing certain activities and delivering industry support and education activities.

About the Role
The primary focus of the role is to lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of industry training frameworks to promote and support responsible regulated industries. You will manage and develop industry education and awareness programs to ensure currency and compliance with regulatory changes to achieve divisional government objectives.
Key functions of the role include:
Lead the development, implantation and evaluation of contemporary industry training frameworks that support the regulatory framework and promote high levels of voluntary compliance.
Manage and administer the mandated training associated processes with registered training organisations to ensure compliance with relevance legislation, policies, and procedures.
Lead and direct reporting staff ensuring they have the depth and breadth of technical knowledge, skills, and support to effectively contribute to and implement industry training frameworks.
Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships and collaborate, consult, and building consensus with key industry groups and other government agencies.

About You
You will have experience in managing expectations of a wide range of stakeholders and be able to build and maintain staff motivation and engagement whilst being able to delivery in a highly complex, demanding and constantly changing work environment.
It is essential that you have
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
Understanding and experience in developing and implementing education programs.
Appointment and ongoing assignment are subject to satisfactorily meeting the integrity standards set out in section 14 of the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007, including satisfactory participation in mandatory pre-employment and ongoing probity screening, in accordance with relevant legislation and/or related policies.
The person occupying the role may be designated as a key official under section 16 of the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007 and may be subject to restrictions, such as restrictions on attending certain premises.
